Chips for biofilters

The wood chip based biofiltration is one of the most efficient technical solutions for the purification of bad smells of gaseous waste from installations such as those dealing with waste treatment, food processing or breeding facilities.

Our wood chips for biofilters are exclusively made of virgin timber of chestnut trees (arboriculture and silviculture) grown in the woods in Liguria (especially Bormida) and Piemont. There are no further wood related materials such as softwoods, sawing waste, leaves, brushwood or remains of pellets or boxes.

At our production factory in Bormida, the plant biomass gets cut (chipping) and screened (elimination of foreign elements such as stones, soil and bark). The process includes only mechanical treatment in alignment with the requirements according to D. Lgs. 152/2006 e s.m.i.

The final product is a perfect filtering material for the purification of waste air and the elimination of smells.
